Chapter 11.14.
What is the Language of Islam
What is the Language of Islam?
The standard understanding is that it is... ARABIC!
When one search this Question, an Islamic website explains... "The Arabic language, which is the mother tongue of over 250 million people across the Middle East and North Africa, serves not only as a powerful symbol of Arab national identity, but is also the sacrosanct language of the scripture of Islam.
Muslims like to say during debates that we don't agree with the Religion of Islam as we don't understand the Arabic of Islam and the Quran.
Is this true? Is this necessary to be Arabic speaking to understand the Religion?
A further fact is... The Quranic Arabic is not easily understandable. Those Muslims that make this comment that the reason people are critical to Islam is that they don't know the language: Do they know the Quranic Arabic language so well?
(This Book covers this in a Chapter: Quran Confusion)
(Then one doesn't even mention the many different Variations of the Arabic Versions that were found lately. This book covers this subject here...)
Well, the Facts is... ARABIC IS NOT THE MAIN LANGUAGE OF ISLAM.
Yes, although most Muslims learn the Quran and even pray in Arabic; that doesn't mean that they all understand what they say and pray! Or am I wrong?
VERY FEW MUSLIMS REALISE THAT?
DID YOU KNOW THAT? Only 20% speak Arabic!
To many, the average Muslim is an Arab who lives in the Middle East and speaks Arabic. However, only twenty percent of Muslims speak Arabic.
The majority do not live in the Middle East nor are ethnically Arab. The Muslim world today is incredibly diverse: Muslim populations fall into several major cultural groups and over 2300 language or ethnic subgroups located across the world.
