SECTION 10: ONE GOD'S GLORY

SECTION 10: ONE GOD ALONE GETS THE GLORY

1.  Only God alone gets all the Glory.

God took the Protection of His own Glory very seriously:

Probably no text in the Bible reveals the passion of God for his own glory more clearly and bluntly as Isaiah 48:9-11 where God says, For my name’s sake I defer my anger, for the sake of my praise I restrain it for you, that I may not cut you off. Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tried you in the furnace of affliction. For my own sake, for my own sake, I do it, for how should my name be profaned? My glory I will not give to another. (Read this so important article from Desiring God.)

-        Peter repeated this in the New Testament when he says that it’s God’s call to all humanity based on His divine glory or doxa (2 Peter 1:3).

-        Paul defended his ministry to Gentiles with the message of Christ by arguing that God's honour required it (Romans 9:22-23). God's honour and glory is revealed in Christ (Hebrews 1:1-3).

Islam put God's honor at stake. Islam stole that what is only belonging to God. His Almighty Power and Glory; Him as the Only One on the throne.

Islam is not honoring the true God! Of all the religions in the world today, Islam most strongly rejects the Bible message and the Only Truth of Jesus Christ as God by putting something else in His place.

2. Our Creator God: Why? Who? How?

We asked this questions in the beginning of this book:

Who created us? Why are we created? How do we respond to our Creator?

I was sure all would agree with me that we were all created for one reason – for God’s Glory (I remember I put some Bible verses and asked you to yourself get the verses in the Quran that should agree with this … Or was I wrong?)

·       WE ALL ARE CREATED BY GOD

·       All of us were created …FOR HIS SOLE PURPOSE!

·       HE ALONE IS GOD that should be SERVED AND PRAISED

3. God wants to be our Father.

4. Not Religion but Relationship...

Religion - A God that is a far-off fierce Slave-Owner- Master that you must fear all the time.

Relationship - The God of the Bible wants us to love and serve Him; to honour and praise Him - as children loves their Father! He loves us first - that is the meaning of Relationship.

Yes, God also want to be your Father. You must just accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. Why not ask God, like Bilquis Sheikh, to reveal Himself to you.

5. But how can God be most Glorified?

I enjoy doing some reading about this: The Glory of God.

I read the following about it here

-        Christian hedonism is a Christian doctrine … coined by Reformed Baptist pastor John Piper in his 1986 book Desiring God.  Piper summarizes this philosophy of the Christian life as "God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him."

-        Christian hedonism describes the theology of Jonathan Edwards: "God made the world that he might communicate, and the creature receive, his glory; but that it might [be] received both by the mind and heart. He that testifies His having an idea of God's glory [doesn't] glorify God so much as he that also testifies his approbation of it and his delight in it."

-        Piper has said, "The great goal of all Edwards' work was the glory of God. And the greatest thing I have ever learned from Edwards ... is that God is glorified most not merely by being known, nor by merely being dutifully obeyed, but by being enjoyed in the knowing and the obeying."

In short, its all about… To Glorify our Creator God maximally!

God wanted to be Maximally Glorified as He alone is God. There is not and can’t by any other God!

-        Isaiah 42:8 “I am the Lord; that is my name! I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols…

-        Isaiah 43:7 “everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.” (NIV)

-        Isaiah 43:10-11 “You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord, “and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me. I, even I, am the Lord, and apart from me there is no saviour.”

-        Isaiah 48:11 For my own sake, for my own sake, I do this. How can I let myself be defamed? I will not yield my glory to another.

Now, the Most Important Question: Who is the Only True God - Allah or Jahwe?

Muslims say: Muhammad is the model in Islam.

The Question is: Muhammad… Was he really focused on the Glory of God alone? Or… was it actually all for himself?  Or…

Or… Was Muhammad ... a False Prophet?

This must be rectified at all costs by sharing the REAL TRUTH of the GOSPEL!

By Sharing the Love of God for all sinners; His Grace, also to Muslims!
